From This Day Forward is a two-year plan for Small Group Marriage Mentoring. This Small Group will exist not because the couples involved have perfect marriages, but because they accept God’s idea of the institution of marriage and are committed to it. Rather than looking around for what they believe to be a good example of marriage, they are committed to becoming God’s view of marriage.

Through this two-year plan, it is expected that we will become more Christ-like as individuals and consequently learn how to love and care for our mates as we ought rather than as we think we deserve. Where you are today may be less than desirable, but never mind that, the question is where will you be at the end of this two-year adventure in marital bliss discovery.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your marriage. We believe that this journey will be challenging, but fruitful, fun, but a continual learning experience.

Ready, set, go...to a wonderful life FROM THIS DAY FORWARD!!!

The meetings are weekly and scheduled for about two hours. Exceptions are made for those known times when a couple will not be able to make the meeting for any reasonable reason, for example, vacation, traveling for work. If you are sick, we change the meeting site to your home so that the program goes on uninterrupted. This will not be done in the case of severe illness. Scripture is memorized for each meeting.

There is no set day or time for the meeting. At the end of each meeting, the next session day and time are discussed and agreed upon. Once the group is formed and the lesson begun, the group is closed to other couples joining. Because the discussions are personal and very open, confidentiality is paramount.

New couples become a part of the program when a new group is formed. In order for a new group to be formed, we need new Mentors. A Mentor must have gone through the program as well. Depending on the spiritual maturity and commitment level of both the husband and wife, this process does not have to take two years.

Whenever we meet, it is in the home of one of the couples. Each book is about six lessons long. We celebrate at the end of each book.
