LCC Beach Games

1. Tug-a-war – Adults & Children – 10 persons per team 5 women minimum per team

2. Volleyball – 6 person per team 3 females minimum – best of three (3) sets – 25 points per set – rolling score

3. 8 person relay team – 4 females minimum – Adult & children

4. Ice cream eating contest – children only – no minimum number – 1st team to eat ALL ice cream wins – 1st place only for 2,500; each other team will receive 1,000 points (more fun than competition for the children FOR THIS EVENT ONLY)

SPORTSMANSHIP While the game atmosphere is often competitive, ensuring participant safety, providing a fun, social atmosphere, and promoting sportsmanlike behavior among participants, spectators, and team followers are our primary concerns. The game atmosphere should remain good-natured at all times. Participants shall maintain good sportsmanship throughout their participation in all facets of the sporting event. The team captain is responsible for educating and informing all players and spectators affiliated with his/her team about the system and the RULES.

A team is responsible for the actions of the individual team members and spectators related to it. Only the team captain shall speak to the officials regarding administrative matters (protests, ejections, disqualifications, etc). Furthermore, the team captain’s efforts in assisting officials/staff to calm difficult situations and to restrain troubled teammates are key to controlling team conduct.

1. Categories

a. Music (Singing or musical instrument) – minimum 1 person maximum 5 persons

b. Poetry (can include props & costume) – minimum 1 person maximum 5 persons – 7 minutes maximum

c. Skit – unlimited # persons – 15 minutes maximum

d. Costume including props – need not have any speaking parts – DISPLAY ONLY
